Light 1 Released & The Light Project

I’m please to announce a new release.. Light 1 (Release Site)

Light 1 is the first in a series of albums exploring the aspects, properties and human relationship with light.

Much in the same way different forms of light can co-exist in the same space without disturbing each other, the songs in this entire series are designed to work with each other tonally.

To this end, I’ve created a site called ‘The Light Project‘ which automatically combines two random songs from the Light series into a continuous ambient experience. Currently, the site features music from Light 1 as well as the one-hour long, extended version of song #8 called 8.extended.

I hope you enjoy it and share it with your friends.

Find me in the Android Market

This last week, Google announced updates to its Google Music offering as well as launching a new Music store inside the Android Market. By far the most important part of this announcement for me was the inclusion of the Google Music Artist Hub which allows independent musicians to add, set the price and sell their music directly in the Android Market sans the 3rd party digital distribution partners required by iTunes and AmazonMP3.

Now in the Android Market

As you can probably guess, I’ve spent the last couple days getting my music uploaded to the Android Market.

In fact, I’ve got two albums in the Market so far. And for a limited time, they’re both for sale at $4.99 ea. – songs are only $0.49 ea. with unlimited streaming/sharing and two free songs available for each album.

Head on over to the Android Market on the web or on your phone to listen and get your copy… and don’t forget to rate them or leave a review. Those ratings and reviews really help with pushing independent music up the charts.

<3 you all.

Background Musics is now available at CDBaby

Some people just prefer buying their music from larger online retailers. If you count yourself among that crowd, you can now buy my latest album Background Musics through CDBaby’s online store. I don’t make as much off of each sale there as I do here at my own store, but I’m perfectly willing to look past all that when it comes to the peace of mind of my fans and listeners.

And thanks to your early purchases, Background Musics has also been submitted to the iTunes music store and the Amazon MP3 store as well as a few other major online digital music stores. I’ll update you when they have approved the release and made it available for sale.

Preview the songs and make secure purchases using the widget below.

Best,
Christopher

YouTube Videos

A lot of artists use YouTube as a place to promote their music. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while but didn’t want to post videos with nothing but a static image of my album art for 5 minutes and the music in the background.

I recently started playing around with the ZGameEditor Visualizer that’s included with FL Studio and enjoying some of the results. They’re simple 3D visuals along the lines of the visualization plugins available in most desktop audio players like iTunes and Winamp.

I decided to upload some of these ‘videos’ for a few of the songs from my upcoming release, Background Musics. You can view them below. If you like them, please consider posting a comment or giving them a ‘Thumbs Up’ over at YouTube.

If you’d like to see more of these videos, let me know in the comments (here or at YouTube) and be sure to subscribe to my channel at YouTube to be notified.

Carl Sagan Saw The Stars

A previously unreleased song from an abandoned project.

He asked what they were and they said, “They’re lights in the sky, kid.” But that wasn’t what he wanted to know. Carl Sagan saw the stars. He found out what they were and then he showed them to me. And my life was never the same again.
